Last year, Private equity firm J.C. Flowers purchased BISYS Commercial Insurance Services and its affiliated operations - including BISYS Specialty Programs, now know as 5Star Specialty Programs. J.C. Flowers already owned Crump Insurance Services and is in the process of combining the BISYS Commercial operations with legacy Crump operations to make up a significantly expanded company. Along with BISYS Commercial, J.C. Flowers purchased BISYS' Retirement (now Ascensus) and Life Insurance Services operations. Together, we make up the nation's largest insurance wholesaler and a leading provider of retirement plan infrastructure.
