BUFFER LAYER EXCESS - WORKERS' COMPENSATION

Buffer Layer Excess Overview

Download

The 5Star Buffer Layer Excess Program is designed for employers who have had to assume an adverse amount of risk under a large deductible or self-insured workers' compensation program. Premium and retentions for some employers, especially in the municipal space, have steadily increased over the years and are now at a point where they can seem out of line with an insured's risk appetite. Employers who self insure their workers compensation or have a large deductible program may be overexposed to catastrophic claims. This program allows your clients to choose the retention threshold they need at a premium they can afford.
